The National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN) is considered one of the largest in the world for the quality and the quantity of works exhibited, mainly those of greek-roman era.
The building that now houses the museum, whose construction began in 1585,also represents a significant architectural landmark: it is one of the largest palaces in Naples.
After the major restoration and renovation of the building - which lasted for several decades and are now nearing completion - will continue in the program and implementing a comprehensive reorganization of the new collections according to display criteria. Because of these works, some collections are excluded from the visit, they are now: the Magna Grecia, the Collection Cumana (Greek vases), the epigraph, the statuary Farnese (in part), the statuesque Pompeii.

The Station Museum is one of the Stations of the art of underground line 1 in Naples: the station is decorated with works by contemporary artists and also has a direct underground connection with the museum, so that travelers can go directly to the museum.
